Quick summer tyres guide for best use

Every year when the hot season comes drivers need to change their vehicles to summer tyres. The dilemma is when should they? When should one buy and change from summer to winter tyres and from winter to summer? Here is a quick explanation of it.

There are many theories about when we should change the tyres. Some of them say that we should use the summer pack until the first snow falls then we should change it. While that sounds properly it is not true. The real and most accurate way to know is when the average temperatures drop below 7 degrees Celsius.

The summer tyre is designed in a way to keep you safe and with good traction on the road when the weather is hot. It is created in a way that driving it creates less noise, while it reducing the fuel consumption.

The summer tyres also give you great traction over a wet road. When the summer rains come to those tyres keep you safe and protected on the road with a nice grip called wet grip. This increases your stability throughout that time of the year.

In any case, you must not use summer tyres in the winter. In our opinion, it should be illegal. The reason is you have a very small grip on the winter and snowy roads with summer tyres. Just from the cold weather, those tyres get hardened and because of that reason, your control over the car is very small. That can put you and others into a dangerous situation that are life-threatening. That’s why spending a couple of more bucks over a nice new winter or summer tyres depending on the season can save you a lot more in the long run. Both from fuel and keep you protected.
